Dear College and High School Counselors:
I am pleased to announce the opening of my practice providing career and educational consulting for high school students and their parents. I specialize in expert college & career counseling (assisting students in deciding on what college to go to and what to major in). My goals are to help students identify their interests and talents as well as find an ideal college match. In addition my goal is to avoid, as much as possible, wasted years of floundering in programs and training which does not match students’ capabilities. I offer a free 30 minute consultation for students and parents to see if they feel my services could assist them.
I have had 10 years post master’s experience in the Career Counseling and College Admissions field. Including internships in my Master’s of Science, I have worked two years in admissions and 9 years at the college level as a Career Counselor. As well, I have worked as Title Five, Activities One Director for a grant focused on helping First Generation College attendees learn to study and perform at the college level.
I would be pleased to accept referrals of students you believe would benefit from more extensive counseling who are having difficulty in their career decision making. I would like to assist students in finding their dream college and career. As well, I would be happy to do a variety of 1 hour presentations to parents at your school on career choice and college choice. If these presentations would be of use for you, please call and we can discuss your needs.
